& Testing Center

Although these courses are e-Learning, this is not a campus-free program. Some materials will need to be picked up each semester and some courses require testing to be done on-campus at the Viewing/Listening/Testing Center in the Library on the Main Campus. Those courses that require Visits to the Flint main campus are commented in the note section).

A comprehensive overview of using the WindowsXP Operating System. You must have a PC with WindowsXP and a printer or the ability to use the campus computer labs.

Windows Desktop BUSN-121-WWW01-Summer 2-2
Instructor: Phyllis Watts
Mode of Delivery: WWW Pre/Corequisite: Must pass DLES-100/101.
This course addresses a basic computer user interface; the Graphic User Interface (GUI) and operating system design, desktop navigation, file management, the Internet and on-line resources; email, file and data transmission.

Microsoft Access BUSN-130-WWW01 2-2

Mode of Delivery: WWW Pre/Corequisite:
Use Access software to create, save, edit and print your own database for this hands-on course. Use MCC lab or your own PC with Access software.
Course Notes: Final exams are taken on campus.

Keyboarding I OISY-101-WWW01-Fall 2-2

Mode of Delivery: WWW Pre/Corequisite:
A hands-on course learning to use the keyboard with accuracy and speed. Minimum of 25 wpm for three minutes with a maximum of three errors at the end of the course. On-campus timed tests required.
Course Notes: On-campus timed tests required. 1/2 semester class.

Keyboarding I OISY-101-WWW01-Summer 2-2
Instructor: Phyllis Watts
Mode of Delivery: WWW Pre/Corequisite: Must pass DLES-100/101.
An entry level typing course, introducing the computer console, finger position and stroke technique for letters of the alphabet, symbols and numbers on the keyboard and basic functions of the numeric keypad. Touch method builds stamina and reinforces technique. Practice stresses speed and accuracy demonstrable on three 3-minute timings, at a minimal speed of 25-words-per-minute with 3 or fewer errors.
